Solar cells are the core components in solar photovoltaic power generation systems, used to convert solar energy directly into electrical energy. They are mainly composed of two types: crystalline silicon (including monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon) and amorphous silicon (also known as thin-film cells). Crystalline silicon cells are made by growing high-purity silicon materials into a whole crystal or using broken high-purity silicon blocks. They have high conversion efficiency and long service life. Amorphous silicon cells use thin-film technology, and the manufacturing process is relatively simple, suitable for large-scale production, but the conversion efficiency is relatively low.
